KIDS IN DISTRESS!!!

Kids in Distress is a nationally accredited agency dedicated to the prevention of child abuse, the preservation of the family and the care and treatment of abused and neglected children.

The American Embroidery Conference contributes to Kids in Distress with an annual toy drive at their main event in the first part of the year.  Toys are either bought, or funds collected in order to see that children have gifts for holidays and birthdays.  They also have a quilt drive, that many women from around the world work tirelessly at in order to assure that each child is welcomed to something warm, that is theirs and that they get to take with them as they adjust to whatever the circumstances are in their lives.

If you are an embroiderer (either machine or by hand), and or a Quilter, and you were wondering what to do with those scraps... well you need to join in and meet the ladies and gents who are bound together by their love to help children.  You will meet some wonderful people who have great deals on supplies and designers who give generously of themselves to help God's precious innocents take a step into the light from a dark situation.
